Worker pressing rubber bodies. Paragon Rubber Company and American Character Doll, Easthampton, Massachusetts, December 1936. Photograph: Lewis Wickes Hine. Gelatin silver print.
I've been posting photos by Hine for some years, becoming a big fan of his work. I thought it commendable that he worked over many years to try and end child labour and get them into school.
Memorable photos. The photographer is new to me (I took a look at the wiki, also).

DeleteI probably saw his work before, then, but his name didn't stay with me. Yes, admirable that he had such an impact.
DeleteI thought that was the case, Jonathan.
